Alcohol Metabolism Information

Generally, a healthy adult's liver breaks down about 7-10g of alcohol per hour. This corresponds to approximately 0.01% to 0.015% in terms of blood alcohol concentration (BAC). This calculator uses the average value of 0.015% per hour.

Widmark Formula: Developed by Swedish physiologist Erik Widmark, this formula estimates blood alcohol concentration considering the amount of alcohol consumed, body weight, and gender. Body water percentage (approximately 0.68 for men, 0.55 for women) is an important variable.

Individual Difference Factors

  • Age, health condition, genetic factors
  • Food intake status and type
  • Fatigue and stress levels
  • Medication use

This calculation result is an estimate assuming average conditions, so there may be differences from actual detoxification time. After drinking, be sure to get sufficient rest and never drive.
