40-50 years< 0.55
Over 50< 0.60
Advantages of WHtR

More accurate health indicator than BMI

WHtR directly measures abdominal obesity, so it can predict the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, etc. more accurately than BMI.

Regardless of age and gender

The WHtR 0.5 standard has high versatility as it can be applied regardless of age, gender, or race.

Simple measurement

You can check your health status without a scale, as you only need height and waist circumference for calculation.

Abdominal obesity diagnosis

Since it uses waist circumference directly related to visceral fat, it can effectively diagnose abdominal obesity.

📏 Accurate measurement method

  • • Measure waist circumference at navel level
  • • Measure while breathing out naturally
  • • Don't make the tape measure too tight or loose
  • • Morning fasting measurement is most accurate
